We are proud to announce the 2009 Carol Ammon Case Competition made possible by the generous support of Endo Pharmaceuticals. The competition is named after its founder, Carol A. Ammon.
The Ammon MBA Case Competition is offered to enhance students' analytical and presentation skills, expand the students’ business vocabulary and expose the students to a vital audience of regional corporate leaders. Working in teams, graduate students take a published academic case study and present recommendations to judges and stakeholders.
Team presentations are judged in two rounds. The preliminary round is judged by alumni and friends of the UD MBA program. Judges for the final round will include leaders of several regional firms.
Prior MBA Case Competitions have presented Harvard Business School cases featuring:
- ENDO Pharmaceuticals
- Lincoln Electric
- Microsoft
- Celebrity Cruise Lines
- Southwest Airlines
- Robert Mondavi Wines
In addition to the Carol A. Ammon MBA Case Competition, UD MBA students compete in the George Washington University International Case Competition, which is held each year in Washington, D.C. The competition draws teams from 20+ top MBA programs from around the world, and focuses on analyzing and offering solutions to current challenges facing an international non-profit organization. The University of Delaware has competed in this competition for several years, placing 2nd overall in 2008. Dr. Dan Freeman is the Faculty Advisor for this year’s team and is optimistic that they will bring home a win!
