MBAz Tuition and On-Campus Enrollment
MBAz Tuition
The UD MBA at AstraZeneca tuition rate is currently $855 per credit hour, and the tuition is guaranteed for the first three years a student is in the program. Students beginning the program after the 2008-09 academic year will have a different three-year guaranteed tuition rate.
The per-credit tuition rate for the UD MBA at AstraZeneca does not distinguish between Delaware and non-Delaware residents.
Moving Between On-Site and On-Campus Programs
While the best scenario would be to take all classes when they are offered on-site, we realize some people may have to opt out of taking a course at AZ due to a personal scheduling conflict. The following options exist with some bounds and conditions as outlined below:
- A student admitted to the on-site AZ program may take up to four courses (maximum of 12 credits) on the UD campus with the special approval of the graduate and executive programs director and subject to availability of seats.
- Likewise, an AstraZeneca employee admitted to the UD MBA on-campus program may take up to four courses (maximum of 12 credits) on-site at AstraZeneca with the special approval of the Program Director and subject to availability of seats.
- A student admitted to the on-site AZ program may also pick up a missed course by taking it online. (We currently offer four of our required courses online: ECON503, BUAD820, BUAD831, and BUAD880.) This also requires special approval of the Program Director and is subject to availability of seats.
- Tuition rate will be based on where a student was admitted. For example, students admitted to the on-site program at AZ but taking a class on the UD campus or via UD Online will pay the same tuition rate they would pay for taking a class at AZ.
- Likewise, students admitted to the UD MBA campus program but taking a class on-site at AZ or via UD online will pay the campus rate (resident or nonresident rates as applicable based on their residency).
- A student can also take the missed course with the new cohort which begins the following year when the rotation of courses begins again, provided the minimum class size requirement is met.
- Tuition for a student in a particular cohort will remain at the AZ cohort rate as long as the entire program of 48 credits is completed along with that cohort over 30 months.
- A different tuition rate will apply to credits not completed in the specified period. For example, a student from the cohort admitted in fall 2009 is expected to complete the program by spring 2012. Any courses taken beyond spring 2012, say in the academic year 2012-13, will be billed at the tuition rate charged to the new cohort. Likewise, courses taken in academic year 2013-14 will be billed at the tuition rate charged to that cohort and so on. The degree must be completed within five years of the start date at 2009.
Note: While immunization documentation is not required for courses taken on-site at AstraZeneca, it is required to be up-to-date and on-file with the University of Delaware Student Health Services Office before participating in classes on campus.
