1. When should I apply?
Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. To receive full consideration for August, you are encouraged to submit all application materials as early as possible. Admission decisions after June 1 may be restricted due to limited space in the program.

2. Do you require an interview?
An interview with the recruitment and admissions director is part of the application process. You should bring a current resume to the interview. You may schedule an interview by calling the Office of Graduate and Executive Programs at 302-831-2221.

3. Do I have to take the GMAT?
The GMAT is not required for admission to the EMBA program (however, it is required for admission to our standard full- or part-time MBA program).

4. Do you accept credit cards for the application fee and program tuition?
Credit card payment of the $60 application fee is accepted. The program tuition may be paid by check or money order.

5. Are EMBA students eligible for financial aid?
For more information on financial aid and eligibility requirements, please visit SallieMae.

6. Is sponsorship by my employer required?
No. Many EMBA students are sponsored by their employers; however, it is not required for admission to the program. See the article on return on investment for EMBA graduates. Most regular MBA students are not sponsored by an employer.

7. I’ve taken business courses at another university. Can I transfer or waive courses in the EMBA program?
Because the cohort structure is so important to our program, course waivers and transfers are not accepted by the EMBA program. Courses for transfer or waiver for the regular MBA program are considered on a case-by-case basis.

8. I haven’t taken a math course since college. Would I have difficulty with the EMBA coursework?
Most EMBA students are in the same boat. While we expect you to be comfortable with basic math skills, our professors find that whatever additional math you need can be easily incorporated into their lectures.

9. Are EMBA students required to have a laptop?
Yes. If you do not already have one, please visit our Technology Solutions Center for assistance. You may be able to take advantage of educational discounts.

10. Does the Lerner College have other options for continuing my education?
Our regular MBA is offered both as a full-time and a part-time evening program, as well as special dual and joint degrees. If you’re not sure the EMBA is right for you, check out our other program options.
