MBA / Master of International Business Joint Degree Program

In the competitive and dynamic business environment of the 21st Century, understanding the global issues that face businesses has never been more important. Working since 1995 with our partner, the Grenoble Graduate School of Business (GGSB), in Grenoble, France, we have developed a double-degree program to prepare the students to work in management positions in an ever changing international environment where advanced technology and multicultural situations occupy an increasingly important place in the daily lives of companies. The MIB provides a truly international and multicultural learning environment that makes its graduates very attractive to potential employers worldwide.

By adding just one additional semester, students can graduate with both a UD MBA and a GGSB MIB. All instruction in the MIB is in English. Students also take basic French as part of the program. Like UD, GGSB is accredited by AACSB International, and is ranked 7 in the Global Top 40 of Financial Times MIB programs. Classes are truly international, with a typical MIB class having students from at least 15 countries.

Generally, students begin their MBA at Lerner and spend the first two semesters in Delaware. Students then spend their second year in Grenoble, France. The MIB can be completed in two semesters, September through December and January through May. The application deadlines are updated continuously on the GGSB website, but early application is recommended as classes fill early. Classes are admitted in September and January.

Students taking the MIB are required to complete all MIB courses in the program.

Planning for the double degree should begin as early as possible. Students are strongly encouraged to take the maximum possible number of UD core and required courses at UD. Since a maximum of 12 credits may be transferred into the MBA, it is necessary for students to specify those courses in advance.

This program requires advance planning to be sure that credits taken at GGSB will fit into your program correctly, so start planning early.
