Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc. is a fully integrated, independent pharmaceutical company with market leadership in pain management. Our strategy is to focus on pain management, and complementary therapy areas. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a Commercial Strategy & Portfolio Planning internship. Responsibilities will include: • Query and analyze secondary data (examples: prescriptions, sales $) to answer strategic business questions • Conduct competitive intelligence on other companies and their current and pipeline products • Assist in strategic analysis of new and existing markets for business development licensing opportunities • Work with external market research vendors • Develop high-level presentations for senior management Ideal candidates must possess the following: • Currently pursuing MBA degree • Preferably, targeting graduation in 2009 • Past professional experience with a business or non-profit organization • Willing to take initiative to learn about new markets, product licensing opportunities, medical treatments, and unmet medical needs • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with reading and interpreting financial statements.
