Welcome to UD MBA programs. We have world class research faculty at Lerner College who engage in creating and communicating new knowledge. We are committed to providing excellent MBA education via innovative curriculum. The most important feature of any MBA program is the practicality and quality of its curriculum. We have designed a state of the art curriculum in response to ongoing surveys and focus group research, feedback from the business community and believe in continuous improvement by fine tuning the curriculum to better prepare UD MBA graduates for success in a competitive global business environment of 21st century. This is accomplished by placing increased emphasis on the following four cornerstones of the UD MBA brand:(i) Experiential Learning    (ii)Data-based Learning, (iii) Global Perspective, (iv) Ethical Leadership. The four EDGE cornerstones of the UD MBA brand are further discussed below in greater detail.

  • Experiential Learning – Students engage in an activity, reflect upon the activity critically, derive useful insight from the analysis, and incorporate the result through a change in understanding and/or behavior.
  • Data-Based Approach – Students learn management skills based on rigorous academic research and hard empirical evidence rather than on the basis of anecdotal evidence or business folklores.
  • Global Perspective – Globalization is defined as the increasing Interdependence, Integration and Interaction (I3) among people and corporations in disparate locations around the world.
  • Ethical Leadership – Students learn to work with others in team settings, leadership skills, learn to deal with issues of accountability, commitment, loyalty, shared vision, and ethics in business dealings.

We continue to enhance the UD MBA curriculum to more effectively incorporate the EDGE principles. The following CORE courses have already undergone a recent transformation (or slated to be revised) to more explicitly incorporate EDGE principles.

  • BUAD820 - Data Analysis and Quality Management
  • BUAD870 - Understanding People in Organizations
