Anchoring the University of Delaware's Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics are four important cornerstones. First is talented faculty whose intellectual contributions enhance our programs and provide added value to students and to Delaware's corporate community. Next, the student body has a remarkably high academic profile and outstanding credentials. Third is the college's commitment to innovation and technology. And the fourth is the international perspective that is woven throughout the college's programs. All of these cornerstones support the college's commitment to providing students with the tools and resources necessary to reach their highest goals.

The college's faculty, staff, and administration are pleased that you are considering the University of Delaware in your search to find an MBA program that is right for you. If you want an MBA program that offers small class sizes, an outstanding faculty, and the challenge of working with other well-qualified students and the management of some of the world's most innovative companies, then pursuing an MBA at the University of Delaware may be the answer for you.

The Lerner College offers the MBA in three program formats, each designed to serve a different group of students. The full-time MBA option is open to students who can make a full-time commitment to an intensive educational experience. The program takes 21 months to complete. Beyond the common core and required courses, each student is able to develop a concentration or specialization in the area of greatest interest.

The part-time MBA option is for the professional who is working full-time and wants to complete an MBA through courses offered during the evenings. The program is very flexible, allowing students to select concentrations and specializations from a diverse set of alternatives, as well as to participate in special programs including a concentrated study abroad experience. The part-time program can generally be completed in less than three years.

The Executive MBA program (EMBA) is designed for mid- and upper-level professionals with extensive work experience and who manage people or projects. It is offered in lock-step format on Friday evenings and all day Saturday in five nine-week semesters over a 19-month period, with summer and Decembers off. Faculty teaching in the EMBA program recognize their students' work experience as a key resource and draw upon this experience throughout the program. The program offers two residence periods: the first kicks off the program, and the second is an international experience to cap off the program.

All of our MBA programs are accredited by the AACSB International: the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The Lerner College is a member of the Graduate Management Admissions Council.

The University of Delaware's award-winning information technology infrastructure is a key supporting element for all of our programs. Through this infrastructure, students have easy access to the faculty, their colleagues, and the University's world-class library resources. The college reflects the University's commitment to technology through our state-of-the-art classrooms and through a curriculum that relies extensively on technology, both in content and for program delivery.
