Specializations

Requirements

As an alternative to a highly structured concentration, students have the option of building a course of study in consultation with their advisor for specialization by choosing 12 credits of elective course work in line with their professional interest under the option of "self-directed specialization." This allows MBA students more flexibility in designing a course of study using a variety of MBA program electives or courses offered by other graduate degree programs here at the University of Delaware.

Program Specialization

Additional Requirements

If you wish to create a specialization outside the areas listed above, you must get it approved. Please print out and complete the Specialization Request Form and submit it to Amy Estey, MBA Program Manager, Graduate and Executive Programs Office, 103 Lerner Hall, for signatures and approval. (Students who wish to complete the specializations listed above are not required to complete the form.)

In addition to your specialization requirements, you also need to take six credits of other MBA electives (three of which must have an international focus) not offered by nor geared towards your selected specialization. These electives should be selected to enhance your understanding of other topics related to your career objectives.
