Concentrations
Requirements
A concentration is a specially structured curriculum that provides a depth of understanding in a topical area. Concentrations consist of 12 credits of concentrated coursework. The concentration should be included on your Application for Advanced Degree form, which must be submitted during the last semester of the MBA program. The UD MBA offers the following concentrations:

Concentration Requirements
The Entrepreneurship concentration has a broad focus beyond just creating an organization. The purpose of the concentration is to provide an educational opportunity whereby the students can apply the breadth of disciplines in the MBA curriculum to focus on creating, adapting, sustaining, and growing an organization.
The requirements focus on a variety of disciplines on issues germane to entrepreneurial organizations. Total of twelve credits are required, a minimum of three credits from each of the following areas:

Marketing
Concentration Requirements
The purpose of the marketing concentration is to:
- Provide students with an opportunity to gain integrative, practical experience in the field of marketing
- Train students how to evaluate and interpret research used in marketing decision making
- Give students exposure to the major topic areas in marketing beyond the core
- Broaden students’ exposure to marketing-related fields of study beyond that provided in the College of Business and Economics

Information Technology
Concentration Requirements
The purpose of the Information Technology (IT) concentration is to provide students with the tools and perspectives needed to use information technology as an effective business tool. The IT concentration gives you the ability to help business people make better technical decisions and technical people make better business decisions.
You are required to have an understanding of the programming process using an object-oriented language (Visual Basic, JavaScript, C++, or Java). MISY 865 can be used to satisfy this requirement for those with no previous programming experience.

Museum Leadership and Management
Concentration Requirements
Rapid changes in our global social and economic climates have resulted in a growing need in the museum community for professionals who combine appropriate undergraduate study (e.g., art history, history, etc.), with graduate training in business management and museum studies. In order to meet this need, the College of Business and Economics and the College of Arts and Science at the University of Delaware are pleased to offer a concentration in Museum Leadership and Management. The concentration is designed to create new options for MBA candidates seeking career opportunities with museums, historical organizations, or other associated enterprises.
The creation of such a joint program is unique in higher education and provides new learning experiences for those enrolled in the MBA and Museum Studies programs. One of the traditional strengths of both programs has been the eclectic composition of their respective student bodies. This new concentration takes advantage of this strength.
The partnership between the MBA and Museum Studies programs also makes it possible for you to complete the requirements for certification in Museum Studies if you wish. The certificate in Museum Studies is awarded at the time that you receive your graduate degree.

Additional Requirements
MBA students also need to take six credits of other MBA electives not offered by the Museum Leadership and Management Department. The electives should be selected to enhance the student's understanding of other topics related to their career objective.

These electives should be selected to enhance your understanding of other topics related to your career objectives.
